JavaScript built to last.
Node.js APIs, React and Vue frontends, Astro sites and full-stack TypeScript applications. Modern, well-typed, properly tested - and shipped by developers who have lived with their own code in production.
Why JavaScript
Why businesses choose JavaScript
JavaScript runs the modern web - frontend, backend, mobile, even desktop. With TypeScript on top, it becomes a serious, maintainable platform for long-lived business applications. One language, one team, end to end.
One language, top to bottom
Backend in Node, frontend in React, mobile in React Native, build tools in JavaScript too. One language for the whole team means fewer handoffs, easier code sharing and a smaller surface area to maintain.
TypeScript makes it serious
Strong types catch entire categories of bug before they ship, make refactors safe, and turn the editor into a research tool. Every non-trivial project we ship is TypeScript end to end.
The largest talent pool
If you ever need to bring development in-house, JavaScript and TypeScript developers are the easiest to hire. You will not be locked into a niche stack only one or two contractors understand.
Modern, fast frontends
React, Vue and Astro all produce fast, SEO-friendly sites and applications when used well. We pick the right one for the job - and we measure performance, not just ship it and hope.
Our Capabilities
What we build with JavaScript
React and Vue applications
Complex single-page applications, dashboards, internal tools and customer portals. State management with whatever the project actually needs - TanStack Query, Zustand, Redux Toolkit, Pinia - not the trendy choice of the month.
Node.js APIs and services
REST and GraphQL APIs using Express, NestJS or Fastify. Authentication, queues, background jobs, websockets - production-grade backends that scale predictably and are easy to debug at 2am.
Astro websites and content sites
For marketing sites, content platforms and anything where Core Web Vitals matter, Astro is hard to beat. Static-first by default, fast everywhere, and interactive where it needs to be. Web design for the full service.
Full-stack TypeScript
End-to-end typed applications using Next.js, Remix, or our own NM8 platform - types shared between database, API and frontend so a column rename ripples cleanly through the whole stack instead of breaking silently.
Our JavaScript stack
The tools we reach for
Frontend
React, Vue, Astro, Next.js, Remix, TanStack
Backend
Node.js, Express, NestJS, Fastify, Prisma
Testing & quality
Vitest, Playwright, ESLint, TypeScript strict mode
Infrastructure
Docker, AWS, Vercel, GitHub Actions
Frequently asked questions
Do you write TypeScript or plain JavaScript?
TypeScript by default on anything non-trivial. The extra discipline pays back many times over in fewer runtime bugs, better tooling and far less guesswork during onboarding. We will write plain JavaScript when a small script genuinely warrants it, but for any real application TypeScript is the right call.
React, Vue, Angular or Astro - which do you recommend?
Depends on the job. React is our default for complex interactive applications. Astro is excellent for marketing sites, content-heavy pages and anything where performance and SEO matter most. Vue is great for teams that already use it. Angular suits very large enterprise apps with strong opinions baked in. We pick based on your team, scale and constraints - not fashion.
Can you build the backend too?
Yes. We build full-stack applications using Node.js with Express, NestJS or Fastify on the backend, paired with the right database (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB). We are happy to mix stacks too - a Node API in front of a Django data service, for example - when it is genuinely the right architecture.
Do you work with existing JavaScript codebases?
Yes. We regularly inherit React, Vue or Node projects from other teams. We start with a code audit covering architecture, dependencies, security and test coverage, and propose a clear plan for stabilising before adding new features. Rewriting from scratch is rarely the right answer and we will tell you so when it is not.
What about mobile?
For cross-platform mobile we use React Native, which shares a lot of code with our React web work. For native-first projects we use Swift and Kotlin. See mobile app development for the full picture.
Got a JavaScript project in mind?
Whether it is a fresh build, a rescue project or a planned migration, we will give you a straight answer and a fixed quote. Usually within 24 hours.
